The Bosch S4E42 on my Mazda3 literally died overnight with not enough power to even unlock the doors. Searching around online for a replacement, I came across Battery Group which showed 3 alternative EFB (start/stop) batteries for my car. I'd read elsewhere that the Bosch S4E42 had a habit of dying suddenly around the 3 year mark (which mine was), so after reading reviews and checking dimensions, decided to give this Exide EL954 a try.
Bearing in mind I'd seen prices elsewhere for the Bosch at around the £200 mark, and even the RAC who attended my breakdown quoted over £400 fitted, I was very happy to see this was a fraction over £100 delivered from Battery Group's eBay shop. I was amazed when it turned up with Fedex at ten past eight the very next morning. It was an easy fit, being the exact same dimensions as the Bosch it was replacing and after a short trickle charge to make sure it was at 100%, the car started and I was off to the races again. Thanks Battery Group for a really great and value for money service. I would definitely use them again.

As good as it gets
2nd time I've bought from Battery Group. This one was for a stop-start Exide to fit a 2014 Mazda CX-5 2.2D. Paid for standard delivery, but battery arrived next day. Easy to fit, with a few memory resets to the car required. Minimal packaging, which just survived with a hole in side, which fortunately missed the battery. Easy to use website. Would recommend this supplier for price and service.
Works perfectly
Great price compared to other online sources. The battery works perfectly in my 2014 Mazda 3 2.2D. The height is smaller than the original battery so I cannot reuse the original battery heat shield because it interferes with the connectors. Delivered in 3 working days as expected. There was leaked battery acid in the packaging which had to to carefully wiped off. I guess the couriers didn't bother keeping the package upright or were rough with it. But I'm happy that I got my car running again after it spent a few days dead on my driveway when the old battery went dead suddenly. Thanks.

Easier to fit than the battery it replaced
