The correct connection
Parallel battery connection
Often one battery is not enough to cover the power requirement or a large battery does not fit into your motorhome due to its dimensions. Then you can connect several batteries with battery cables in a parallel connection to increase the capacity. In doing so, the two positive poles are connected together and the negative poles.
Series battery connection
If your caravan is designed for 24V, you must connect two 12V batteries in series. When connecting in series, the positive terminal of one battery is connected to the negative terminal of the other battery.
Series and parallel battery connection
Both types of connection can also be combined if more than 4 batteries are used. This allows both the capacity and the voltage to be increased.
